Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Carabao Cup home game vs Crystal Palace is now in.
Manchester United take on Crystal Palace in their Carabao Cup opener this evening, with a tough game certainly in the offing for the Old Trafford side.
Roy Hodgson’s men will be looking to upset the applecart, despite ringing the changes themselves. Erik ten Hag will have to produce his best tactics to give his team a real chance at emerging victorious.
The gaffer has made several personnel switches for this one, while still naming a super strong line-up with a place in the fourth round at stake. Don’t forget United are the current holders of the competition so they’ll be looking to start off with a positive performance.
Anyway, the team news is now in, so let’s get right into it.

Andre Onana does start in between the sticks here, despite rumours suggesting we could get a glimpse at Altay Bayindir.
Diogo Dalot plays at right-back, with the man from Portugal the only fit player in that area of the field. Raphael Varane makes his first start post-injury, partnering Harry Maguire, who is also back available following injury. It looks like Sofyan Amrabat starts at left-back…
Casemiro plays which is an intriguing decision, particularly as he’s probably due a rest. Mason Mount is another who comes back into the side after treatment table woes, with Hannibal keeping his place in the XI.
Anthony Martial is presented with an opportunity to lead the line here, with Facundo Pellistri and Alejandro Garnacho to his right and left respectively.
