A pair of Man United players have been included in the latest Carabao Cup Team of the Round after their win over Crystal Palace.
Manchester United Football Club were impressive in midweek, beating Crystal Palace 3-0 in comfortable manner, during what was their best display of the season so far. No doubt the result would have been massive for player confidence levels.
The Reds play Palace again this coming Saturday, hoping to complete the double over the Eagles in the space of five days. Before that, though some time for final reflection on what was a truly complete performance.
Perhaps it was the inclusion of Sofyan Amrabat who added extra energy and dynamism, maybe it was Mason Mount’s return to the fold following injury. Possibly, a collection of hungry players with a point to prove being given their opportunity.
Well, Carabao have decided upon their Team of the Round for the most recent slate of games, with a United duo named amongst the best performers following the aforementioned 3-0 win. Both Diogo Dalot and Casemiro were given the nod.

Dalot looked solid down that right-hand side. He was rarely troubled defensively, while when going forward, he did play with real purpose and intent. It was nice to see the man from Portugal looking so confident on both sides of the ball. It was the energy he displayed that was his biggest strength.
As for Casemiro, he was always going to be included here. His goal was backed up with a stunning assist, while the overall performance was pretty spectacular. He looked back to his best after a couple of sub-par performances, which certainly bodes well going forward.
I’d also suggest Amrabat made a strong claim to be given the nod at left-back, while Mount was also sublime in midfield. Alas, it’s hard to disagree with the other players included.
