Erik ten Hag is said to be delighted with the strides that Hannibal is making as a Man United first-teamer.
Manchester United Football Club have been forced into using different players over the last few weeks, largely due to injuries and off-field issues.
Erik ten Hag may have uncovered a couple of gems as a result. Facundo Pellistri looks bright, if not a little raw, down that right-hand side. However, in the last couple of matches, Hannibal Mejbri has been thrust into starts
The Tunisia international looks right at home in the heart of the Reds midfield, that cannot be denied. As a result, talks over a new contract have come to the fore.
Now, journalist Jacque Talbot has provided an update on Hannibal’s squad status, with the journalist claiming that Ten Hag is ‘very happy’ with the progress made by the 20-year-old.
Hannibal is continuing a prominent role in the first-team, with the Dutchman a big fan of the youngster’s ‘running and pressing’ ability over the last couple of starts.
Check out Jacque Talbot’s sources on Hannibal Mejbri in full here:

Honestly, Hannibal surprised me. I wasn’t expecting as much production as he gave – and all credit to him. I guess he’s slowly been learning his trade from some of the best players and coaches in the world during training. Now, he’s looking to make that jump to the first-team fold on a regular basis.
I do wonder where Hannibal fits in when United have a fully available squad. Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat will both have something to say about minutes in midfield, while you cannot rule out Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay, either.
