Winger Amad has admitted he’s close to returning from injury.
Manchester United Football Club have been plagued by injury this season, with the Red Devils suffering in many key positions. Erik ten Hag hasn’t moaned about the situation, rather, he’s just getting on with the task at hand.
The results haven’t been exactly what we’d all have liked, but with players now on the mend, I’d like to think we’ll see an up-turn in form.
Amad is among those players who haven’t been seen since pre-season. He picked up an injury early on in the tour, meaning we were robbed of seeing the man from the Ivory Coast in action for a prolonged period.
Sadly, the problem was a pretty bad one, ruling him out for multiple months. However, the good news is that he’s now on the mend.
The United star took to Instagram stories to post a positive injury update, confirming that it’s ‘just a little longer’ before he is ready to return.

Amad’s place within the squad is an intriguing one. With Jadon Sancho currently completely exiled from the first-team mix, there’s a chance for one of these young wingers to come in and stake a claim for a place in the side.
The young man was superb last season for Sunderland in the Championship, though it goes without saying that this is another level entirely. Whether he can adjust to the higher level remains to be seen.
First and foremost, we supporters need to give him all the time he needs to get back to full fitness. Although he’s nearing a training return, he’ll probably need the better part of a month to get fully up to speed.
Either way, it’s good to see him back out there.
