Christian Eriksen played a wonderful ball into an international colleague to grab himself an outrageously good assist against Kazakhstan last night.
Manchester United Football Club are midway through a two-week hiatus due to international football. No doubt Erik ten Hag’s side are chomping at the bit to get back to action, following their super late 2-1 win over Brentford last time out.
Next up, Sheffield United. This is another game that United simply have to win, no ifs, buts or maybes.
Before that, our players are jetting all over the globe to represent their countries. For the fringe players, this is always a good opportunity to get some minutes under the belt, in order to boost individual confidence.
One player who needed some game time is Christian Eriksen. The Dane, who was among the first names on the team sheet last term, has taken somewhat of a backward step this time around under Ten Hag. However, he remains one of the first-choice players for his country.
Last night, Denmark beat Kazakhstan 3-1 in EURO qualifiers, with the moment of the match coming from Eriksen. He’d play a sensational outside-of-the-foot pass to Robert Skov, bypassing the defence with one swing of his boot, to set up a goal.

It’s very easy to forget that this is what Eriksen is capable of. He’s an excellent player who is so technically-gifted. Perhaps that’s what United have been lacking to start this season?
Sadly, he has some obvious flaws alongside his outrageous on-ball ability. his lack of physicality is often highlighted, while in midfield, on the defensive side of things, he’s a bystander 99% of the time.
Either way, this is a nice reminder of his supreme ability for the manager ahead of the return of club football next week.
