Jadon Sancho is set to be listed for transfer by Man United, ahead of the January window, unless he acts on advice given to him by teammates.
Manchester United manager and Erik ten Hag have been at loggerheads for the last month or so. The gaffer’s decision to publicly criticise the players’ training performance did not go down well. The Englishman would hit back via social media. We have not seen him since.
Stories have been plentiful in regard to Sancho’s future. Many believe he’s set to leave sooner rather than later, which would make sense given the fact he’s currently completely exiled from the first-team fold.
Now, The Guardian have ran a story offering the latest update on Sancho. Sadly, it’s still bad news for the ex-Borussia Dortmund attacker. They state that the 23-year-old United star will be made available for January transfer, unless he acts on his teammates’ advice to apologise to the gaffer.
Apparently, ‘senior members’ of the squad have told the attacker to say he’s sorry, admitting that this is the only way the situation can be resolved. It’s also written that Ten Hag would be open to reintegrating the player into the mix if he were to do exactly that.
At this point, I see no peaceful resolution to the scenario. If Sancho were thinking about apologising, he would have done it by now. Instead, it seems as though he’s ready to stick to his guns and depart the club in January – most likely on a loan before leaving permanently next summer.
It’s absolutely gutting that it has gone down this way. Sancho is a super talented player, but in these situations, the manager is always right.
