Here are our player ratings as Man United lose 3-0 to Man City.
Andre Onana – Made some really good saves, though his distribution was iffy at times. He also looked a little nervy. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Started at right-back and didn’t lay a glove on Grealish all game. Was ineffective when going forward, too. 4/10
Harry Maguire – Wasn’t too bad. Won plenty of headers and kept it simple with the ball at feet. Did his individual job decently enough. 5/10
Jonny Evans – Understandably struggled with the pace of the game at times. Caught out of position on occasion. I’d like to see more leadership qualities from a veteran. 4/10
Victor Lindelof – Started at left-back and it didn’t go too well. Out of position often. Caught napping for Haaland’s second. 3/10
Sofyan Amrabat – Hooked at half-time again. Booked early. Couldn’t handle the pace of City attack at times. 4/10
Christian Eriksen – Offers nothing defensively but kept it neat and tidy in possession. 4/10
Scott McTominay – Poor in possession. Had a couple of decent chances but didn’t make the right decision. 4/10
Bruno Fernandes – Completely ineffective out wide. You minimise his time on the ball and it hurts this United side. 3/10
Marcus Rashford – Absolutely tragic. Wasn’t tracking back at all defensively. Looked low on confidence with the ball at feet. 2/10
Rasmus Hojlund – The only positive spark from United in an attacking sense. Ten Hag booed when he subbed him off. 6/10
Subs:
Mason Mount – Came on and did nothing.
Alejandro Garnacho – Didn’t really get into the game.
Sergio Reguilon – Struggled to get into it.
Anthony Martial – Not enough time to mark.
Antony – Brought on and was booked for a petulant kick out at Doku.
