Man United could look to bolster their defence with a move to bring in Trevoh Chalobah.
Defensively, Manchester United have been a shambles this season. The Red Devils have been without many key players through injury which obviously hasn’t helped the situation.
Erik ten Hag was without his whole back four at one point, though this weekend, he chose to go with Jonny Evans over Raphael Varane, while picking Victor Lindelof at left-back over Sergio Reguilon…
You get the impression that Ten Hag isn’t fully happy with his options in that area of the field, hence why the Old Trafford side were linked with Marc Guehi recently.
Now, TEAMtalk have thrown another name into the mix; Trevoh Chalobah. According to their information, the defender is set to be forced out of Chelsea, with United, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all keen on his services.
It’s said the ‘race is now on’ for the signature of the England youth international, as Chelsea wants him off the books. Chalobah would rather stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, though he is not in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
United are apparently ‘conisdering’ a move to sign the 24-year-old Premier League defender, as they’re currently ‘monitoring’ Chalobah’s situation.
In terms of transfer fee, Chelsea would be looking to raise in excess of £45m from Chalobah’s sale, while if forced out, the player would prefer to stay in England.
It remains to be seen whether United would enter a potential bidding war for Chalobah, with the club relying on player sales before being able to spend big money in the winter window.
