Andre Onana – Made a couple of truly awful errors that just cannot happen at this level. Twice heaped the pressure back onto his teammates’ shoulders. I’d also expect him to do better for the third. 2/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Made some important tackles at times. Did commit a few fouls as well. Played a lovely ball into McTominay for the third. 7/10
Harry Maguire – Wasn’t necessarily bad defensively yet conceded three goals. A weird evening for the Englishman who made some important tackles. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Much like Maguire, had a pretty decent game. Kept Icardi quiet. Just wasn’t helped out by his keeper. 5/10
Luke Shaw – Did his job defensively. Wasn’t really involved in the final third. 5/10
Sofyan Amrabat – Subbed off on the hour. he was steady enough. Probably his best performance so far, despite being caught out of position which led to the first Galatasaray goal via Ziyech. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Scored United’s third with a great finish. His overall midfield play was inconsistent. 5/10
Bruno Fernandes – Scored an absolute pearler and was at the heart of everything good about our attacking play. A captain’s performance. 8/10
Alejandro Garnacho – Set United on their way with a superb finish. He is now starting to settle into a first-team role nicely. 7/10
Antony – Started sharply. Wasn’t afraid to try and beat his man. Played the right pass more often than not. 6/10
Rasmus Hojlund – Nice to see him back out there. Led the line well and worked hard. Created space for his teammates. 6/10
Subs:
Kobbie Mainoo – Did bring some more calmness to midfield.
Anthony Martial – Not involved whatsoever.
Facundo Pellistri – Looked a little overeager. Had a golden chance to win it super late on and missed.
Diogo Dalot – Defensively not as good as Wan-Bissaka, allowing Zaha more chances.
