Man United defender, Tyrell Malacia, has suffered an injury setback which has required further surgery.
We’re pretty sick of talking about injuries here at Old Trafford Faithful, though it has been the main topic of discussion for pretty much the course of the season so far.
Erik ten Hag has effectively been working with one hand tied behind his back for large stretches of this campaign, though recently, we have been given a glimmer of hope as some players made their returns.
However, there has been some negative news on that front today. It comes via Fabrizio Romano, with Tyrell Malacia suffering an injury set back during rehabilitation. The left-sided defender has undergone further surgery on a knee issue, with the Dutchman out of action until early next year.
Check out Fabrizio Romano’s Tweet on the news here:

Malacia has not played since last season with the problem, which eventually led to Sergio Reguilon coming in on loan.
After a promising start to his United career following a move from Feyenoord, Malacia has now faded out of the limelight pretty significantly. His performances were good initially, bringing genuine energy to the side at a time when they needed it.
However, in the second half of the season it was very hit and miss. I still don’t know whether Malacia is good enough to make it at the highest level, which is something the manager will have to figure out sooner rather than later.
