Man United have eyes on AC Milan goalkeeper, Mike Maignan.
Manchester United made a bold change in between the sticks over the summer, allowing David de Gea to leave on a free transfer, bringing in Andre Onana to replace the Spaniard.
The man from Cameroon has had a mixed time of things at Old Trafford so far. He’s looked good, particularly domestically, though Champions League struggles have been evident.
On the whole, I still think the change that was made was the correct one. De Gea’s inability to play out from the back, coupled with increasing poor displays in the shot-stopping department, meant he simply had to leave.
However, there are now rumours suggesting that United could move for another Serie A goalkeeper, this time in the form of Mike Maignan.
It’s Santi Aouna with the news. He believes United are among the sides who ‘remain attentive’ to the situation of the 28-year-old goalkeeper. Chelsea, PSG and other sides are also credited with an interest in Maignan.
That said, the Frenchman is ‘happy’ in Italy, with a deal that runs until summer 2026.

I think Maignan was among the goalkeepers that United looked at when they eventually made a move for Onana, though I wouldn’t be keen on switching shot-stoppers again so soon…
Onana has shown some good things. Yes, he’s made a few mistakes but I reckon that will start to minimise once he starts to settle down – particularly in European football.
Different pressures come with playing for a club the size of Manchester United – and that does take some adjusting to. I think that with the right backing from both supporters and teammates, Onana will once again showcase his abilities as one of the best in the business.
