Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs Chelsea is now in.
Manchester United Football Club are in a precarious situation right now. There is serious discontent around the club, with pressure building on Erik ten Hag.
Chelsea visit Old Trafford this evening, in a massive fixture. A win here would certainly ease the tension around the Theatre of Dreams ahead of a massive week.
The gaffer came out in defiant mood during his pre-match presser for this one, banning some media reporters for running stories without first approaching the club. As a result, I really hope the lads selected put in a real shift for him here. I am weirdly feeling somewhat optimistic about this one.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with the gaffer making one or two bold changes. It’s refreshing to see those players who didn’t put in the required effort now out of the line-up. Let’s give you the full run down…

Andre Onana starts in between the sticks here, with the Dutch gaffer keeping the faith in the ex-Ajax man who has had a topsy-turvy start to the campaign.
At right-back, Diogo Dalot is preferred to Aaron Wan-Bissaka which is somewhat worrying in my opinion. Luke Shaw plays at left-back, with the now customary back two of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof starting at the heart of defence.
Sofyan Amrabat comes into the side in place of Kobbie Mainoo, which is certainly a bold decision due to the latter being in such a rich vein of form. Scott McTominay keeps his place in the side, purely due to the fact the Reds are low on numbers in that area of the field. Bruno Fernandes captain’s United here.
Rasmus Hojlund is deemed fit enough for a start here, still chasing his first league goal. To his right is Antony and over on the left is Alejandro Garnacho. Yes, Marcus Rashford has been (deservedly) dropped to the bench.
