Man United are now open to moving on from Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window.
Manchester United’s squad is now slowly being overhauled by Erik ten Hag. His task has been made harder by the fact that there are many players on massive wages, making them unsellable. We have to give the gaffer time to get it right.
The latest information from Football Insider claims that United are now looking to move on from a Ten Hag signing; Christian Eriksen.
Their report claims United are now ‘willing to sell’ the midfielder in January, as they prepare to ‘dump another superstar’.
Sources have revealed to FI that the club feel as if his ‘legs have gone’ and he is struggling to keep up with the intensity of the Premier League at this stage of his career.
The midfielder’s future is said to be in ‘major doubt’ as Sir Jim Ratcliffe gears up to take a 25% stake in the Old Trafford side.
From a personal point of view, I’m indifferent to this transfer. Eriksen could still do a job if kept around, though equally, I wouldn’t be too distraught if he’s let go.
When he starts, I actually think that Eriksen brings a level of control to the midfield, though he is bypassed far too easily when the opposing side are on the attack.
I’ve also noticed the injuries are starting to creep in more and more at this point. Let’s be honest here though, after all he’s been through, to be given the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and win a trophy, it’s a major success for Eriksen.
