Bill Kenwright Memorial Service

The memorial service for Bill Kenwright took place yesterday with many paying tribute to Everton’s longest serving Chairman. [EFC]

A number of Everton legends were in attendance for the service, including Adrian Heath:

“He always kept in touch – as soon as you left Everton you were never forgotten, as far as Bill was concerned. I went to one (a show) in New York with him and he invited me and my wife. I remember him telling Joan Rivers for about three hours how good I was, so he made me feel good. He never let us forget who we played for. As I say, he’s going to be sorely missed by a lot of people.” [Echo]

I spoke to the players and we commend them as staff because the strength of the group, often, is the strength of the people outside of the main starting XI at the current time.
