Patrick Bamford scored a sensational goal for Leeds in the FA Cup third round against Peterborough.
The forward has found it tough going over the last couple of years since his time in the England squad, and has dropped down to the Championship with Leeds following their relegation last season.
He has struggled for goals in periods, netting just once in the Championship so far this season, but put those issues behind him in Leeds’ game against Peterborough.
Leeds won the game 3-0 in a comfortable third round for Daniel Farke‘s side on Sunday, and Bamford’s goal was undoubtedly the pick of the lot.
The 30-year-old picked up a long ball from Ethan Ampadu at the start of the second half, and fired into the back of the net from distance on the volley.

Upon receiving the ball, Bamford chested it down ahead of his marker and onto his left foot, around 25 yards from goal.
Without letting the ball bounce, he let fly on the volley and shot across goal, with Posh goalkeeper Fynn Talley left with no change as the ball hit the back of the net.
The strike was Leeds’ second of the game, giving them breathing space against their League One opponents at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Ampadu was heavily involved in the game, picking up the assist for Bamford’s strike and scoring twice himself.
He gave the visitors the lead in the first half after 34 minutes, before putting the icing on the cake in the final moments of the match.

Daniel Farke’s side eased into the third round and are currently fourth in the Championship
The Whites are having a solid season under Farke and are currently fourth in the Championship with 48 points from 26 games.
They are seven points off of Ipswich in second and the final automatic promotion place, but are nine points clear of Hull in seventh, so are comfortably in the play-off spots.
