Thiago Silva will miss tomorrow evening’s game against Manchester City with the minor injury he picked up against Crystal Palace, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed in his press conference today.
The defender went down after making a big block on Monday, and while the problem is small, the manager confidently ruled him out of tomorrow’s match against City.
The good news is that Pochettino also confirmed that Levi Colwill was fit for the game, meaning we will likely see him playing in the centre alongside Axel Disasi. They really have their work cut out against in form Man City who are preparing to unleash Erling Haaland on them.
It also means another game with Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell at full-back. Both need a rest soon, but tomorrow Pochettino really has no other options. Both have had injuries this season, the injuries to Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Marc Cucurella and Silva mean we’re down to the bare bones.
