Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his side are not the favourites going into Sunday’s League Cup final against Chelsea.
Mind games? Saying it due to all the injuries in his squad despite Chelsea also being consistently heavily hit with injuries? Or is he being genuine off the back of Chelsea’s last few games being much better and the better results coming in? Who knows, but he’s said it anyway, and he thinks Chelsea will be ‘tricky’ on Sunday as both sides clash in an attempt to win The Carabao Cup trophy.

In words picked up by The Athletic, Klopp said: “Will we be big favourites? Definitely not.
“Since we played (Chelsea) they have improved a lot and it will be tricky, this was exceptional tonight.”
Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to win some silverware in his first season at Chelsea, and the ownership will also be desperate to pick up their first trophy as stewards of the club.
But no matter what Klopp says, Chelsea are not favourites. Liverpool are currently top of the league, and Chelsea have been struggling in midtable all season. Regardless of any injuries, Liverpool are FIRM favourites on Sunday.
