Chelsea players may not have been having the best time on the pitch last week, but they did at least have a laugh in training.
This week’s training video shows them playing an improvised form of “teq-ball” in the gym, trying to nutmeg each other with mini footballs, and then going through their paces with shooting training.
Alfie Gilchrist then got his prize for his Premier League debut – a match ball, a photo with the coach and a plaque on the wall in the youth centre, as well as a round of applause from the coaches who had been with him all the way. It was enough to cheer us up after a gloomy week.
