Moises Caicedo has revealed it’s “easy” to play with Enzo Fernandez.
Caicedo is currently in his first season at Chelsea following his British record transfer from Brighton last summer.
The 22 year endured a slow start to life at Stamford Bridge as he got used to his new surroundings and new team mates but is now starting to find his feet and has put in some impressive performances recently.
The Ecuadorian has established himself as a regular in the heart of Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield and has made 34 appearances in all competitions.
Caicedo has said how he still needs to learn but revealed that the learning process has been helped by his relationship with Enzo Fernandez who is a fellow South American and Spanish speaker.
The midfield duo have partnered each other on a regular basis this season and have been through many highs and lows as they continue to develop together.
Speaking to the club’s official website Caicedo revealed what it’s like to play with the World Cup winner.
He said: “It’s easy to play with him, we have the same language on the pitch and help each other. We enjoy when we win and we are frustrated when we lose.”
The pair will no doubt be partnering each other in Chelsea’s midfield again on Monday night against Newcastle in a must win game if the Blues are going to qualify for European football next season.
