Cole Palmer was put in an awkward situation by Tim Sherwood during a post match interview last night.
Palmer was once again Chelsea’s standout performer a he scored and assisted in Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Newcastle which saw the Blues close the gap on the European spots.
The 21 year old who has 11 goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season probably wasn’t expecting former Premier League winner Sherwood to question the quality of his team mates in front of him.
In an awkward post match interview Sherwood said to Palmer: “All you need is some players to play with.”
This led to a hugely awkward moment of silence, before Sherwood added: “I know you can’t say that, but I’m saying it.”
