As stated by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim has denied any talks with Liverpool and strictly made it clear that he is currently focused on his role at the Portuguese club.
The 39-year-old is not happy with the recent Liverpool-related questions popping up ever since Jurgen Klopp announced that he will depart the club this summer.
Amorim has done commendable work at Sporting and the club is already aiming to win two major titles this campaign. They are yet to complete their mission but the manager is not pleased with the recent links to Anfield as he wants to focus on his current work.
He has revealed that there has been no meeting between him and the Reds. As per the manager, nothing has been agreed yet.

Xabi Alonso recently announced that he had decided to stay at Bayer Leverkusen beyond this season. It is already a huge blow for the Reds. They are keeping a close eye on targets like Amorim, Julian Nagelsmann, Hansi Flick and Roberto de Zerbi.
However, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also set to lose Xavi and Thomas Tuchel respectively. They will be hunting for a new manager and there are chances that they might look at Amorim.
Liverpool will not be happy with added competition in this race and will aim to seal this deal quickly. They have to wait until summer to get a response from the Sporting boss.

It remains to be seen whether Amorim joins the Premier League giants this summer.
