The bad news just keeps on coming at West Ham this year and the club have been hit by a bitter new triple blow.
Two new West Ham players regret joining the club in the summer it is being claimed.
And one who arrived last year also wants to leave if the owners don’t act.
Those are the damning revelations emerging from different sources this weekend.
There is no sugar coating the fact Julen Lopetegui is under pressure at West Ham.
The Hammers face Newcastle and Arsenal next and the owners have made it clear they do not expect fears of two big defeats to be realised.
Whatever your opinion on the Lopetegui situation, his tenure thus far has been dogged by claims of unrest behind the scenes.
Journalist Alex Crook recently claimed that several West Ham players are ‘unconvinced’ about Lopetegui.
A number of other journalists have made similar claims since.
Certain players have done little to play down those reports with their actions either.
Mohammed Kudus took on the manager in the changing room at Brentford after being singled out for harsh criticism about not being a team player.
That’s despite many feeling Kudus has carried the team during an awful calendar year that has seen just nine wins in 39 games.
Kudus won the ball back for his team more than any other player bar Bruno Guimaraes last season. He is in the top 10 this term too yet was singled out for playing for himself and not the team.
When he was subbed off after that altercation, Kudus was seen kicking a seat on his return to the bench for the second half.
Yet more unrest at West Ham over unsettled trio
When he had complete head loss at Spurs, many felt it was a sign Kudus was acting out against the manager. He has missed the last three games as a result and will also miss what many feel could be Lopetegui’s last matches in the coming weeks.
But Kudus, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal next summer, is not even Lopetegui’s biggest issue in the dressing room it seems.
Edson Alvarez has also shown indiscipline with two red cards.
Lucas Paqueta and Alvarez have been seen showing public dissent towards Lopetegui when substituted.
Three other West Ham stars made their disgust clear to Lopetegui when they were subbed off against Everton last time out.
Now there’s yet more unrest as £50m duo want to leave West Ham and a new star ‘regrets’ ever joining.
Yesterday Sean Whetstone reported that his top source inside West Ham revealed disastrous striker signing Niclas Fullkrug has not settled in the UK and may leave.
The Hammers paid Dortmund an initial £23.5m for the ageing and injury-prone German.
Lo and behold Fullkrug has spent nearly three months out injured after just three brief and inauspicious sub appearances in the Premier League.
There is also no timeframe on his return with suggestions he won’t be match fit until into the new year.
£50m duo want out of West Ham and new star ‘regrets’ joining
With the January window looming and Whetstone’s claim from inside the club that Fullkrug is unsettled, there’s every chance he will never start a league game for the Hammers before being shipped out.
News has also emerged in Spain, as repeated by the likes of Claret and Hugh, that Fullkrug’s fellow summer signing Guido Rodriguez regrets ever joining West Ham.
It’s claimed the Argentine now wishes he’d stayed at Real Betis and ‘longs for a return’.
Former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is in charge of Betis and the reports state he would ‘open the doors’ for Rodriguez to return, possibly on an initial loan, in January.
The 30-year-old only signed a two-year deal when he joined so the Hammers would not be able to command much of a fee either way.
Meanwhile Hammers News understands from a top journalist source that Alvarez wants out if Lopetegui remains as manager.
Alvarez’s misery continued with Mexico overnight.
Alvarez wants to leave if Lopetegui remains Hammers boss
And Hammers News understands the midfielder, who has angered Hammers fans by persistently talking up a potential move away, has made it clear he wants to leave the club if the Spaniard is not sacked.
Atletico Madrid and – before his injury at the Copa America – Man United reportedly sniffed around the Mexican in the summer.
The 27-year-old is apparently aware of some interest in him from elsewhere.
Relations are not good between the player and West Ham’s beleaguered manager.
Alvarez did not include Lopetegui in his apology after his red card at Forest.
Lopetegui and Alvarez also blanked one another as the player walked right past his boss as he left the pitch at the City Ground.
Alvarez was also seen showing dissent towards the 57-year-old when substituted in a cup win over Bournemouth.
So the problems are mounting for Lopetegui.
The only positive is that none of the players who want out have impressed this season.
And with West Ham looking to raise money for new signings through player sales, there are at least three willing candidates to be the first out of the door.
