VfB Stuttgart winger and Germany international Chris Führich may be one of Bayern Munich’s first signings of the upcoming summer transfer window — despite interest from the English Premier League.
From kicker, via @iMiaSanMia:
Chris Führich is leaning towards joining FC Bayern despite interest from Borussia Dortmund and from English clubs. Bayern are looking for fresh personnel on the wing positions this summer. Despite a contract until 2028, Führich can leave Stuttgart for €25-30m [@kicker]
The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful season with Stuttgart, who beat Bayern to second place in the league on the final matchday. As transfers go, it would be a modest investment for a player rounding into his prime years.
Bayern’s wing positions are loaded, however. In addition to veterans Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman, and Serge Gnabry, they also have Bryan Zaragoza. Jamal Musiala also plays on the wing, as has Mathys Tel so far — though both players may move in the future.
If Führich arrives, it could mean the departure of one of Bayern’s longest-tenured vets.
