“Christoph Freund to left of me, Max Eberl to the right…here I am, stuck in the middle with you,” — Uli Hoeneß (probably)
Bayern Munich and Burnley are not in agreement on a fee for Vincent Kompany as of yet and Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) is reporting that the two sides will have to compromise if they want to get a deal done:
There’s talk of £20m (€23.5m) demanded by Burnley as a compensation fee for Vincent Kompany. Bayern, meanwhile, are offering up to €10m. Both clubs could meet somewhere in the middle to reach an agreement.
Bayern Munich’s willingness to pay for Kompany will be tested. Burnley holds all of the cards in this scenario and can take a strong stance if needed. After shelling out big bucks for Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern Munich will undoubtedly try to whittle that fee down to a manageable number.
Ah hell, now I need to hear the song…
