Amad wants sit down talks with Erik ten Hag, before deciding fully on his Man United future.
Earlier this week, we covered a claim suggesting that Amad was now seen as an important member of the playing squad for Erik ten Hag.
The Ivory Coast international ended the season well, scoring a couple of goals upon his return from injury – and proving his worth as someone who could play meaningful minutes for the Red Devils.
Now, Give Me Sport have provided their own exclusive on Amad, though they take a different approach. According to their claim, the starlet is ‘seeking assurances’ over his playing time ahead of the new campaign.
On top of that, Amad is preparing for behind the scenes talks with Ten Hag about his future, ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
The young winger is ‘desperate’ to discover how he fits into the Dutchman’s plans, with those discussions set to take place before the end of the summer.
This feels like Amad is trying to understand exactly where his future lies over the coming year, which is absolutely fine. You’d like to think that the earlier report gives a hint that Amad will be given plenty of minutes, though the young man just wants clarity.
If the former Atalanta man isn’t given the answer he’s looking for, I will assume he’s going to push to leave in some capacity. Though I do not foresee that being the case.
At the end of the day, Amad shouldn’t expect to start every single week, though if the poor form of Antony continues and United do not sign a right-winger, he will be given ample opportunity to prove that he is good enough to take up a leading role in that right-wing position.
