Bayern Munich has made a habit of stealing top youth prospects from other clubs in recent years, such as Jamal Musiala (Chelsea FC), Mathys Tel (Rennes), and Chris Richards (FC Dallas).
Bayern’s most recent target is Chido Obi Martin from Arsenal’s academy. Martin has been scoring relentlessly as he worked his way up through the youth ranks. Most recently, Martin recorded 32 goals in 18 matches at the U-18 level.
Bayern has faced stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund but, according to Fabrizio Romano, Martin has chosen to continue his career in England.

It’s certainly a disappointing outcome, but Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has an impressive track record in developing youth talent. Bayern’s Matthijs de Ligt was only 18 years old when he wore the captain’s armband for ten Hag’s Ajax squad that made a deep run to the Champions League semifinal.
