Our confirmed MUFC XI for the home game vs FC Twente is now in, with the Red Devils looking to kick off their campaign with a victory.
Manchester United find themselves partaking in the new eight-game group stage format of the Europa League this season, with the first fixture taking place at Old Trafford this evening.
Erik ten Hag’s boyhood side, FC Twente, are the visitors, with the Dutch club heading to the Theatre of Dreams looking to upset the applecart.
Make no mistake about it, United will have to be at their best in order to secure an opening day three points here. The gaffer is seemingly taking no chances at all, naming a super strong line-up and not really rotating too much.
Anyway, without further ado, let’s give you the full run down now that the team news has been confirmed.

Andre Onana does start in between the sticks here, with the goalkeeper position not really a spot that Ten Hag often tinkers with.
At right-back, Noussair Mazraoui continues to play, with the man from Morocco impressing in the early stages. At left-back, Diogo Dalot also starts as per usual. Harry Maguire comes into the side, allowing Matthijs de Ligt some rest. Lisandro Martinez partners the Englishman.
Manuel Ugarte plays at the heart of midfield, sitting in there alongside Christian Eriksen. Bruno Fernandes is tasked with creating the chances further up the field.
Amad plays off the right, with Marcus Rashford coming back into the team on the left. Joshua Zirkzee starts and no doubt this trio are chomping at the bit to prove their worth.
