West Ham United ace Jarrod Bowen caused a controversy today during our defeat to Tottenham, but any Hammers fan watching wouldn’t have even noticed.
It was an incredibly disappointing afternoon in north London for West Ham on Saturday, as Tottenham ran rampant to beat us 4-1.
Jarrod Bowen actually put in a decent performance for the Hammers, but the captain really needs to raise morale at the London Stadium now.
Mohammed Kudus getting sent off added insult to injury for the Hammers, and Julen Lopetegui is now under extreme pressure.
Things aren’t set to get any easier for West Ham, with a nightmarish run of fixtures on the horizon.
There weren’t many positives to take from the game against Spurs – it was a huge disappointment all round in fairness.
Bizarrely, an Arsenal fan watching the game was none too pleased with what went down either…

In a strange twist of events, a Gunners fan was really unhappy after the Hammers’ defeat to Spurs on Saturday.
Arsenal fans being angry when Tottenham win is of course, nothing new. However, the fact that this particular Gunners supporter was frustrated because a Hammers player didn’t get punished for something he did was rather strange if you ask me.
Arsenal X account AFCAMDEN, with 163k followers, posted a tweet today, demanding answers from the FA about an incident involving Jarrod Bowen during West Ham’s defeat to Tottenham this afternoon.
During the first-half, when the Hammers were leading the game 1-0, Bowen tapped the ball away after the referee blew his whistle.
In all fairness to the Arsenal fans, I see why they’re frustrated.
Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard have both been booked and subsequently sent off already this season for kicking the ball away to delay the restart.
Bowen’s action today could have easily resulted in a yellow card.
However, had he been booked, it would have been the least of our worries.
