Reports in the Spanish media are speculating that an unnamed Saudi Pro League club is planning a bid of £83 million for West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus.
Ordinarily, such reports wouldn’t gain much traction, but perhaps Liverpool’s rumoured interest and Kudus’s ban have added fuel to the story.
Claret & Hugh spoke to a top West Ham source earlier this week when the Liverpool transfer rumour surfaced and we were told, “There’s nothing in it; he’s staying and will be a BIG miss against Manchester United.”
The Spanish media reports are somewhat odd, given that they are very precise about the transfer fee yet incredibly vague when it comes to naming the club. The fee itself is £2 million below Kudus’s buyout clause, which is not currently active and therefore means any bid would be doomed to fail.
C&H has previously been informed that the Ghanaian is not for sale, and even if he were, it would take a bid well in excess of £100 million for West Ham to even consider responding.
