West Ham United beat Manchester United at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon, and one player deserves huge credit for his performance.
In the second-half, there were many West Ham players who raised their levels and seemingly remembered what it means to play for our great club.

The first-half was appalling on so many fronts, but thankfully, we turned it around after the half-time break.
Crysencio Summerville was challenged by Tim Steidten back in the summer to be a huge success with the Hammers, and he showed on Sunday what he’s capable of with a stunning display.
However, it was the performance of one of his teammates that really caught my eye.
If fact, his display against Manchester United may well have single-handedly elongated his London Stadium career.
Julen Lopetegui deserves huge credit for starting him in the first place.
West Ham ace’s display vs Manchester United was so good
Lukasz Fabianski came into the side in place of Alphonse Areola for Sunday’s clash with Man United, and rightly so in my eyes.
The 31-year-old former PSG man has been really poor of late, and his more experienced colleague showed him how it’s done against the Red Devils.
Last season, the former Poland international insisted that he was prepared to fight Areola tooth and nail for the number one West Ham goalkeeping jersey.
Fabianski, who earns £60k-a-week according to Salary Sport, put in a truly sensational performance against Man United on Sunday.
And I actually think it was a display that could well end up earning him a new contract.
What I liked about Fabianski’s display was the fact that he was good throughout the entire game, aside from the moment when he raced off his line and nearly conceded, only to be saved by Diogo Dalot’s profligacy.
The 39-year-old made four saves against Man United – with a save percentage of 80%, and he completed eight of the 14 long balls that he attempted (Fbref).
The biggest compliment I can give Fabianski is that I felt far more comfortable with him between the sticks than I have been when Areola has started for us this season.
The Frenchman has surely lost his place in Lopetegui’s starting XI now, and I just can’t envisage a scenario whereby he gets it back anytime soon.
Lukasz Fabianski will be out of contract with the Hammers in the summer of 2025.
However, after his exceptional performance for West Ham against Manchester United on Sunday, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s offered a new deal by the club imminently.
