West Ham United head to the City Ground to take on Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest in the Premier League tomorrow (Saturday).
Nottingham Forest have been in fine form in the Premier League this season, and Nuno’s men will represent a real challenge for West Ham.
Forest could be without up to five key players for the West Ham clash, but they will still be very hard to beat regardless.
The East Midlands outfit are currently sitting in seventh spot in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of the Champions League places, and six places and five points ahead of the Hammers.
After beating Manchester United last weekend, a positive result against Nottingham Forest is needed in order for West Ham to really start building some momentum.
In typical Hammers fashion though, it seems like we couldn’t possibly be playing Forest at a worse time.
Nottingham Forest could match 25-year record against West Ham clash
The Reds have really impressed in the league this season.
Nuno has done a fantastic job at the City Ground since taking over, and if they beat us tomorrow they could climb into the top four, incredibly.
I actually fancy us to get a result tomorrow, if the players put in a a fully committed performance.
However, there is some ominous news to digest ahead of the game…
Forest have won two Premier League games in a row, and they haven’t recorded three top flight victories on the bounce since May 1999.
So they have the opportunity to match that record against the Hammers.
Enter West Ham…
As West Ham fans, we all know that unfortunately, it’s in our DNA to be the gift that keeps on giving.
Let’s hope that West Ham don’t allow Nottingham Forest to match the long-standing 25-year record of three consecutive top flight wins.
Julen Lopetegui and his players cannot afford to lose this one, but it just has a terribly ominous feeling about it doesn’t it.
