Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has been subject to links with a move away from White Hart Lane owing to limited playing time under his belt. The Lilywhites signed the Romanian defender in a £26 million-rated deal from Serie A side Genoa in January 2024 following a series of exceptional performances in the Italian top-tier; however, the 22-year-old hasn’t had consistent opportunities to showcase his talent at Hotspur.
The supporters as well as the player have grown frustrated with the lack of playing time under Radu Dragusin’s belt.
Ange Postecoglou has been blessed with the duo of Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven at the heart of defence, and it is difficult for any defender to come in and break that partnership. Although, with his degrading performances in the 2024-25 campaign, many supporters as well as pundits have called for the Romanian international to start over Cristian Romero, that hasn’t happened, and the Italian clubs are looking to take advantage of the situation by targeting a possible move for Dragusin.
Juventus eye move for frustrated Dragusin
Thiago Motta’s Juventus have also established interest in signing the 22-year-old as they look to dip in the market to replace injured Gleison Bremer. Juve have been associated with a possible loan transfer for Dragusin in the upcoming transfer window. While it is difficult to see Daniel Levy sanction a move for the former Genoa defender in January, Dragusin is said to have a soft spot for the Italian giants owing to the time he spent in Turin, per Gazzetta.
With Romero as well as Micky Van de Ven injured, Romero has an in-road into the Ange Postecoglou starting lineup, and this opportunity could help him displace the aforementioned duo and establish himself in the starting lineup at N17.
