Well that was awful wasn’t it, as Julen Lopetegui’s limp West Ham United flattered to deceive against Everton.
Julen Lopetegui is under intense pressure at West Ham right now, and in my opinion he should be sacked tonight.
It was a disastrous day at the office for the Hammers, and the London Stadium resembling a morgue epitomised the performance on the pitch.
There was no energy or dynamism on display in East London on Saturday afternoon, with many of our players just ambling around the pitch.
It wasn’t good enough, and Lopetegui seems to be helpless to address the slide.
But what next? Will he be relieved of his duties, or will the owners stick with him?
The fans were not happy one little bit with that shambolic showing on Saturday afternoon.
We would have been absolutely battered by a better team, and I suppose we have to thank our lucky stars that Everton are such a poor side.
Lopetegui is certainly not a popular figure at the London Stadium, and that’s putting it politely.
Now Roshane Thomas has come out and hit Lopetegui with the biggest putdown possible.
Thomas has got this spot on, unfortunately.
As bad as we were last season, things have got worse this term under Lopetegui.
And it’s not a case of ‘be careful what you wish for’ either – moving Moyes on was the right decision, but replacing him with the Spanish version of the Scot certainly wasn’t.
I’ve always said that things will get worse before they get better, but right now I’m struggling to see where things improve.
Julen Lopetegui is not the man West Ham need to take us forward, and Roshane Thomas’s post on X highlights just how bad the job he’s done has been.
