It has been a pretty successful calendar year for Germany, and they only have one last international break left to close out 2024.
Team news
Angelo Stiller pulled out of international duty with muscular problems, while Florian Wirtz is doubtful for the game after missing training due to an illness. With Manuel Neuer retired and Marc-André ter Stegen injured for the foreseeable future, Germany are alternating keepers in each game. Oliver Baumann is expected to start on Saturday, with Bayern Munich loanee Alexander Nübel will play against Hungary on Tuesday.
German publication kicker revealed their predictions for the starting XI, which have been accurate in the last couple of international breaks:
Heidenheim striker Tim Kliendienst is set to maintain his spot in the starting XI, with Arsenal striker Kai Havertz likely dropping in as an attacking midfielder behind him. Bayern Munich will occupy the flanks, with Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala likely ahead of Leroy Sané in the pecking order.
The midfield and backline undergo almost zero changes, which is probably good for the overall stability of the team. Germany will miss the services of the injured Stiller and Aleksandar Pavlović, but otherwise it seems like a solid XI that should comfortably beat Bosnia and Herzegovina at home. The fact that we can say this again says a lot about the progress the Germans have made under Julian Nagelsmann.
