According to a report from Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich is keeping a very close eye on Lille striker Jonathan David.
The Canadian’s contract expires next summer, which could make him a “value buy” for the Bavarians:
Excl | FC Bayern have Jonathan #David on their list and are closely monitoring his situation ✔️
Bayern are also aware of the 24y/o striker’s plans. What makes him particularly interesting is that David’s contract with Lille runs only until 2025, meaning he is very likely to be available on a free transfer next summer.
Max Eberl likes the player. Additionally, he is a close friend of fellow Canadian Alphonso #Davies.
Almost all top European clubs are interested in signing David next summer.
This season: 7 goals in Ligue 1 and 4 in the Champions League.
This is not the first time that Bayern Munich has been linked with David, nor is this the first time this month that the club has been rumored to be thinking about a “post-Harry Kane” plan.
Will David be…the next one?
