West Ham United and Arsenal fans will undoubtedly be very interested to read the latest twist regarding the future of Mohammed Kudus.
Mohammed Kudus is said to be a transfer target for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, with the West Ham forward’s £85 million release clause set to be activated in the summer.
It has even been claimed that West Ham already have a replacement lined up for Arsenal target Mohammed Kudus, with a move for Andreas Skov Olsen believed to be in the pipeline.
The 24-year-old joined the Hammers from Ajax in the summer of 2023 for a fee thought to be worth around £38 million.
He has been a sensation at the London Stadium, with 16 goals and seven assists in 55 games to his name.
However, Kudus let us down recently, when he got sent-off during our 4-1 defeat away at Tottenham in October.
And as a result, he received a five-game ban, meaning that we won’t have him back in action until December 3rd.
I fully expect him to return to action firing on all cylinders, with a real point to prove.
However, the Hammers fans are concerned that this season may well be Kudus’s final one in the Claret and Blue.
Big Mohammed Kudus twist after major new Arsenal claim
The Ghanaian’s future at the London Stadium is very much up in the air right now.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s playing for one of the game’s biggest clubs next season, such is his unbelievable quality.
He certainly has the ability, and the potential, to reach the very top.
I just have a strong feeling that West Ham might struggle to keep Kudus at the London Stadium beyond the end of this season.
However, there has been somewhat of a twist to proceedings it seems.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, Kudus’s £85 million release clause might actually prove to be prohibitive, with Arsenal very much aware of potentially falling foul of the new PSR guidelines.
Now that is a big twist, as it was previously reported that the Gunners would have no problem meeting the 24-year-old’s release clause
However, the same report claims that Kudus is ‘fully open to leaving’, should a club that can offer Champions League football come in for him.
So should Mohammed Kudus agitate for a move, perhaps Arsenal will have a good chance of prising him away from West Ham either in January or the summer.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners are successful in taking our best player away from us for the second time in two years.
