While Bayern Munich are currently enjoying a well deserved winter break, the break will not last forever. After all, the Bundesliga re-starts for the Bavarians on the 11th of January. The players will be able to enjoy a breather through Christmas until the new year, but then they will need to return to action. @iMiaSanMia captures the exact process:
Bayern’s schedule after the winter break:
2 January: first team training of the new year (the current injured players will have an individual session)
3 January: open training session to the fans (10:30 CET)
6 January: friendly against RB Salzburg in Salzburg (18:00 CET)
11 January: Bundesliga restart against Gladbach
Julian Nagelsmann’s poor start to 2023 as Bayern coach of three consecutive draws is still only around two years ago, one the higher ups blamed on a poorly planned return from the winter break after the 2022 World Cup. With Leverkusen four points behind, Bayern will be hard pressed to make sure they come back from the winter break fresher than two years ago.
