There is one potential January transfer move that to me looks very likely to happen, and a club have made their first offer for him.
Chelsea wont be overly busy I don’t think, unless of course they have seen something in the last three games to make them want to make some big changes and to be honest, I’d not be surprised if they haven’t because it’s been dire, especially the 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town last night.
Sources: Two Bournemouth defenders ‘ones to watch’ for Chelsea in January, Joao Felix staying, Goalkeeper on hold, more…
Chelsea also only managed a draw with Everton, and they got beaten by Fulham in their Boxing Day Premier League game.
I know the board want success, so maybe they might be about to make some big changes to get it.
However, what we do know will happen is that Chelsea will be looking to sell or loan out a few players, and I am sure there are many within this squad right now who are unhappy with their lack of playing time or only being able to play in The Conference League. Many players do not get a look in for league games right now.
Torino want Casadei
Midfielder Cesare Casadei is one who clearly wants to leave Chelsea in order to play more first team football, and a move away has been touted for January.
I had the impression that he might be loaned out, but according to Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio today, Serie A club Torino have made a first official offer to buy Casadei on a permanent deal but with a buyback clause in it for Chelsea.
Personally, that sounds like a deal that Chelsea should be accepting, as long as the fee is reasonable. The fact they might have an option to buy him back if he miraculously becomes world class, is a great option to have.
