Manchester City target Dani Olmo is still waiting to find out whether he can stay at Barcelona.
The 26-year-old has been de-registered by the club due to financial problems and there is a chance that he could become a free agent this month.
City fans on X are very much split on whether they believe Olmo is a genuine target for the Premier League champions, with some feeling that he will end up staying in Spain:
It’s a good addition

Perfect signing, won’t happen. He’ll remain at Barca

It’s a no brainer, I can’t see it happening though. A 6 month loan would be ideal for everyone

Get the deal done, discussion over.

Yes please.. But not getting my hopes up (even though most of my posts today have been about Dani Olmo 😂)

City are not the only Premier League club keeping tabs on the player
Reports in the Spanish media suggest that Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are also monitoring Olmo’s situation.
It is not every day that a player, who cost £50m last summer, becomes available on a free transfer.
Olmo has made it clear that he wants to stay with Barcelona
Journalist Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the Spanish international’s situation on Thursday afternoon.
While Olmo’s future is uncertain, Romano claims that the attacking midfielder is “not entertaining talks” with any other team at this moment in time.
Olmo is clearly keen to remain where he is but, if Barcelona fail in their efforts to register the player, he may have to consider his options.
