Another tricky fixture, playing Aston Villa away at Villa Park. This ends a run of the mission impossible act, but being without Mads Hermasen and Wilfred Ndidi, does not help much as players who have been given starts has in no way managed to complete their performances against teams we surely would have struggled heavily with anyway.
This is of course difficult and frustrating for fans not really having a hope for a win facing such quality at their home arena. We could hope for a draw, but again it will be in some way potentiallly a game to look for positives as the result looks given, a certain home win.
We certainly hope that RvN does have a clue about what is his best eleven and not start dropping Facundo Bounanotte, that would be disaster. A wrong approach would be to try to mirror the team as best as possible to Aston Villa and not play on your own strengths, that would cost more than giving your best players a new chance to build form and potentially bring a result to the table.
If RvN is tempted to drop certain players to give others he has ranked below them in the past, he will just get a negative outcome, so he needs to trust his tummy and believe in the players who are able to perform well and not be tempted to drop certain names, because they are either bad in defending or not taking the run back at certain times.
Strangely both teams have the same table position they had when they previously met in the same fixture close to two years ago, on the 04.02.23, Leicester coming home with a very strong 4-2 win. In the two last outings we have seen Villa win, 2-1, both being Leicester home fixtures at the King Power Stadium.

Kit:
Adidas makes Aston Villa’s kits for the first time in the history of the team. Adidas replaces Castore in 2024-25, as Aston Villa’s kit maker after severe quality problems from Castore. The Adidas Aston Villa 2024-25 home football shirt combines a claret base with a white Adidas logo and sky blue applications.
A standout feature of the new Aston Villa kit is the new crest. The front has the new logo of the club’s new main sponsor, Betano. Model-wise, the Adidas Aston Villa 24-25 home kit is based on the Adidas Tiro 24 template. The panels are not contrasting, creating a clearer look.
The Adidas Aston Villa 2024-2025 home kit has the same material as the new Arsenal and Bayern 24-25 authentic kit. The fabric is similar to the 2018 Climachill material.
On the back under the collar of the Aston Villa 24-25 home kit is the club’s 150th-anniversary mark.

Honours: Aston Villa will always be a special club as they were one of the founders of the football league, and during those early days winning major trophies. They have in the recent past not won much, but their days of the 70’s and 80’s did see them as a grand collector both domestic and in Europe.
