American rock band, Linkin Park, have added a new date to their ongoing “From Zero” world tour and funnily enough, it coincides with the Champions League Final. Coincidence? Absolutely not.
According to The Sun editor, Ellie Henman, Linkin Park have officially been penned in to play the Champions League Final half-time show (via @iMiaSanMia).
Linkin Park have been booked to play the half-time show at the Champions League Final in Allianz Arena on May 31.
The six member band follow in the footsteps of Lenny Kravitz, who headlined last year’s Champions League Final half-time show, Annita and Burna Boy as well as Camila Cabello.
The addition of the 2025 Champions League half-time show to the “From Zero” world tour will certainly be a special one, especially for die hard Linkin Park fans, as it marks the first time the band has toured in seven years and the first time ever since the tragic loss of lead vocalist, Chester Bennington.
Musical performances at sporting events are always divisive, nonetheless, considering the prospect of “Faint” bleeding into the changing rooms at half time, one would be hard pressed to find a band to provide better music to motivate their side to clinch Champions League glory.
