AFC Bournemouth are reportedly set to sign 19-year-old Julio Soler, subject to international clearance, during the January transfer window according to a report in The Times newspaper.
Soler, who currently plays his football in South America with Argentina Primera División side Club Atletico Lanus, is an Argentina Under-23 defender who mainly operates at left-back, however the signing doesn’t bare any influence over the immediate future of Cherries current left-back Milos Kerkez, as the signing is reportedly down to wanting to strengthen squad depth in AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola’s side.
Julio Soler, 19, is set to sign for Bournemouth from Lanus in Argentina. The deal for the left back could be worth up to £11.5m if all add-ons are met (follows others). Club keen to improve squad depth, aiming for two per position. No plan to let Kerkez gohttps://t.co/recLbkOm0T

The 19-year-old is set for a medical in a deal that could be worth in the region of £11.5million and is reportedly set to sign a four-year deal at Dean Court.
He has made 58 appearances for Lanus since breaking into the senior side in 2022.
Born in Paraguay, he has played all of his youth football playing for Argentina and represented them at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
He has also been in and around the Argentina senior squad, making the bench for the World Cup Qualifiers against Bolivia and Venezuela, but however, he is yet to earn his first full international cap.
