Niclas Fullkrug has endured a disastrous first five months to his West Ham United career.
West Ham signed Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for around £27.5 million.
Tim Steidten led the charge to sign Fullkrug, and the German’s job is now under serious threat as a result of the striker’s struggles at the London Stadium.
Things went from bad to worse for Fullkrug on Friday night, when he seriously injured his hamstring during our FA Cup clash with Aston Villa.
The Germany international is now set to miss at least three months because of that injury (talkSPORT).
That’s obviously a bitter blow for him but it will hurt us as a team as well. The Hammers are already incredibly light in the centre-forward department.
A new striker will obviously have to be signed, there’s no doubt about that.
But what will happen to Fullkrug in the end?
Brand new claim made about West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug
Fullkrug has been a disaster from start to finish at the London Stadium.
He was a terrible signing to begin with – it still baffles me that we signed him in the first place, especially for £27.5 million!
The former Dortmund man has looked so far off the pace of Premier League football, it’s actually scary.
And now he’ll be on the sidelines for the next few months.
That’s what makes the latest claim regarding Fullkrug so bizarre.
Tuttomercatoweb have come out with the quite ridiculous claim that Juventus could sign the Hammers striker in the January transfer window.
That’s an utterly ludicrous suggestion.
I can promise you now that Juventus will not be signing Niclas Fullkrug from West Ham in the January transfer window.
That said, I won’t be surprised one little bit to see him leave the club in the summer.
