West Ham United are said to be eyeing up a blockbuster transfer in the January window.
The January transfer window will be a vitally important one for new West Ham boss Graham Potter, with numerous new additions required.
West Ham are said to be in the hunt to sign Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in January, but many more additions are required.
Potter has so much work on his hands, after Julen Lopetegui oversaw an awful squad rebuild in the summer.
The need for a new midfielder is obviously very much urgent now, but Potter can’t afford not to address his attacking options.
He could do with another centre-back and a goalkeeper as well if we’re being honest.
However, the addition of a new forward with some real pace is what could actually take us to the next level completely.
And one man in particular is being touted for a big move to the London Stadium, but the transfer highly unlikely to happen in my opinion.
West Ham January transfer window blow
Sorting out the attacking department will be crucial to Potter’s hopes of success at East London.
The lack of a potent attacking threat is what actually held him back from achieving really special things with Brighton.
It has been claimed that Potter is determined to not let that happen again, and he’s said to be targeting a blockbuster deal for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
Let’s be honest here, the idea of signing Rashford is a fanciful one to begin with.
And that’s not even considering his questionable attitude toward playing football.
talkSPORT are now claiming that the England international forward’s £300k-a-week wages are proving to be a major stumbling block to his potential move to the London Stadium.
Well I don’t say…
That’s obvious isn’t it.
I predict that Rashford will end up joining a major European club or move out to Saudi Arabia this winter.
As good as the 27-year-old can be on his day, his form has been truly horrendous this season.
I can safely say that Marcus Rashford will not be joining West Ham in the January transfer window.
I would much prefer us to sign a young and hungry player with something to prove anyway.
