West Ham United played host to Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
And Robbie Savage was blown away with something in particular that he witnessed from one West Ham player at the London Stadium.
It was a tough game for us tonight, but there were definitely noticeable improvements from the boys.
The way they pressed as a unit with efficiency, cohesion and aggression really was very impressive.
There’s obviously still a long way to go, but the signs are there that Potter’s reign could well be a very successful one.
One Hammer in particular caught Savage’s eye tonight, but he hasn’t actually been one of our better players this season strangely.
What West Ham player did against Fulham stunned Robbie Savage
Savage was mightily impressed by one player in particular during the London derby between West Ham and Fulham tonight.
The Hammers have some fantastic, supremely talented players at the London Stadium, and Mohammed Kudus is certainly one of those.
He hasn’t been on top form for the Hammers this season, but we all know just how devastating he can be.
And Savage lauded the Ghana international, when speaking live on TNT Sports, after Kudus rolled the ball under his left foot and back-heeled it with his right (January 14th, 8:08pm):
“Aahhhhhh, he’s a good player, I love watching him.”
Kudus is an exceptionally gifted player, but I have to be honest, I expect a lot more from him, I really do.
The 24-year-old was sensational during his first season with the Hammers, but he has really gone off the boil this term.
The Ghana international has all the ability in the world, but he holds onto the ball far too long at times for my liking.
Mohammed Kudus has the potential to go on and become one of the very best attacking players in world football.
But he needs to show more consistency. Whilst Robbie Savage raved about the West Ham star during our clash with Fulham, I still think he has so many more levels to reach.
