Atlanta United have intensified their Premier League plundering by offering £15million for Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard.
The ambitious MLS club had offered a deal worth up to £20m for Middlesbrough forward Emmanuel Latte Lath.
However, with talks over that deal ongoing, they have made a bid for back-up option Edouard.
Edouard, 27, has had an inauspicious season on loan at Leicester City where he has managed just four Premier League outings.
The former Celtic striker is in his fourth Premier League season and this is the first where he has not played regularly.
Atlanta are also in the throes of signing Miguel Almiron from Newcastle United after offering around £10m for the Paraguay international.

Mail Sport understands that a move is expected to be finalised for the midfielder.
Almiron, 30, is said to be keen on a return to his former club and talks will accelerate this week, ending a six-year stay on Tyneside.
Atlanta are estimated to be the second-most valuable club in the MLS, with Forbes calculating them to be worth £735m in May 2024.
Their attendances would fit right in with the Premier League, with close to 47,000 fans packing into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on average for the 2024 season.
