According to a report from Tz journalists Philipp Kessler and Vinzent Tschirpke (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Liverpool FC wants to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich — and has already made contact via informal talks with the 29-year-old:
Liverpool are interested in signing Joshua Kimmich on a free transfer in the summer. Initial informal talks with the player have already taken place. But nothing is concrete yet.
This news comes at a precarious time as Kimmich has blown through Bayern Munich’s deadline for a decision. Moreover, other reports have indicated that Kimmich is open to listening to offers from other clubs now more than ever.
It appears that the Germany international does not need to be reminded of the “lack of appreciation” from the club that he felt during the Thomas Tuchel regime. Perhaps, some of those scars have not healed and Kimmich is going to ensure that he explores every option available to him before making a final decision.
