West Ham United have seemingly already given up on one player signed by Julen Lopetegui last summer.
The January transfer window clearly could see outgoings as well as incomings at West Ham.
Graham Potter has inherited an incredibly unbalanced squad, and he certainly needs to strengthen his ranks at the London Stadium.
Potter has admitted that himself, but he will also be well aware that he needs to move on some of the deadwood.
The 49-year-old has already made a huge impact at West Ham.
The players clearly want to do their best for him, and the same cannot be said about them whilst Julen Lopetegui was at the helm.
One of the Spaniard’s summer signings could already be shipped out by Potter.
West Ham to sell attacker for £15m in the January window
The Hammers are clearly keen to raise funds this winter.
And a player who’s been with us for only seven months could well be on his way already.
Luis Guilherme could be set to leave West Ham in order to move out to the Saudi Pro League.
The former Palmeiras winger, signed for £25 million in the summer, has barely featured for the Hammers first-team this season.
And now he could be set to leave the club.
Football journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that the Hammers have offered Guilherme, 18, to clubs in Saudi.
And West Ham are prepared to accept a fee of around £15 million for his signature.
I have to be honest, I’m not sure how to feel about this.
Guilherme could blow up one day and become a star.
However, those behind the scenes must have seen something that they don’t like about the Brazilian.
Perhaps he’s just nowhere near good enough to play at the very highest level.
Serious questions need to be asked of Tim Steidten now.
If Guilherme is sold for a £10 million loss in the January transfer window, the West Ham director of football will surely face an uphill task if he is to keep his job.
