Winter skiing and Bayern Munich…a powder keg of a combination.
Bayern fans are perhaps still smarting after two separate ski adventures brought misfortune in the span of just a few months in the winter of 2022/23 — first Manuel Neuer breaking a leg after the FIFA 2022 Men’s World Cup, and then Julian Nagelsmann getting sacked while out on the slopes during an international break, apparently drawing the ire of the bosses for vacationing after a loss.
But let bygones be bygones, right? Or — like Batman and his bat cave, face your fears?
This time around, several rounds of coach and executive sackings later, Bayern went on a ski trip as a team after the recent friendly vs. RB Salzburg (a 6-0 win). And it was sporting director Christoph Freund who led the way.
As captured via @iMiaSanMia_GER:
The coaching team, staff, etc. of FC Bayern went on a ski trip to Obertauern with an overnight stay after the Salzburg game. Christoph Freund organized the trip. [Bayern-Insider, @cfbayern , @altobelli13]
Irony. Somewhere Julian Nagelsmann is shaking his head and listening to Kendrick.
