Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 3-2 on Matchday 18 of the Bundesliga, maintaining their 4-point lead atop the table. Manuel Neuer himself had a decent game, but failed to keep a clean sheet, which he addressed while speaking post game.
“I think we had good chances. That was the case against Gladbach too, but we kept a clean sheet there. Today things got tight at the end. Despite the quick equaliser, we carried on and didn’t slow down. We had a lot of good scoring chances, but unfortunately we missed a few,” said Neuer (via @iMiaSanMia).
Neuer also heaped praise upon Leon Goretzka, who scored twice after being awarded more playing time as of recent. “We supported him and knew that his time would come. He always gave it his all, and this is the reward for that.”
